Dot-to-Dot 1999-2005
Dot-to-Dot was a monumental art piece that happened over several years. Like a life form, it was born, grew up, and eventually died, but its impact remains. It was a canvas for Brandie Maddalena & I to experiment with all our concepts learned from the San Francisco Art Institute. We were interested in creating an organization as an art piece. We were interested in conceptual art, collaborative art, functional art, social sculpture, life art, and much more. Below is a timeline of the piece.
1999-2001 Dot-to-Dot Collaborative road trips from San Francisco to Bahia de los Angeles.
2001 Dot-to Dot Headquarters is secured in the border zone, just south of Rosarito.
2002 Artist in Residency program launched.
2003 The Sharings program receives free commercials on local television.
2004 City of Rosarito gives us their park as the largest event happens.
The economy collapses just as our son is born. The piece ends.
