I finished my cement sculpture. Next, I will paint it very realistically. The concept here is that like octopus, crab & lobster; mermaids also begin life as single cell babies called plankton. With luck, they grow through their metamorphosis into a larval stage like a maggot. These are called "merggots". My sculpture is a merggot. Later, it will grow into a full grown mermaid.
